St. Gerard Majella Parish
-
Welcome to St. Gerard Majella Parish website. For the month of July, the parishioners of St. Gerard head to St. Jerome's. We have placed the Mass Schedule for the summer in our News Section. The office hours for St. Gerard are also changing for the summer. Again this is available in the News Section. For those who will be traveling, we wish you God's speed and a safe journey. For the rest of us, take a few moments to rest, play with the kids, regardless of their age, and spend more time with that special someone. We will be starting back at St. Gerard's in August with Father Edward Wawrzyk conducting the services for August.
- We have put an article for the Liturgy For July in the article section. Check it out to follow each days celebration and weeks focus of the Gospels. The month of July is dedicated to The Precious Blood of Jesus. The entire month falls within the liturgical season of Ordinary Time, which is represented by the liturgical color green. This symbol of hope is the color of the sprouting seed and arouses in the faithful the hope of reaping the eternal harvest of heaven, especially the hope of a glorious resurrection. It is used in the offices and Masses of Ordinary Time. The last portion of the liturgical year represents the time of our pilgrimage to heaven during which we hope for reward.
